Who we work with

Different businesses. The same job underneath.

Between us we have run finance in print and signage, ecommerce and merchandise, manufacturing, FMCG, pharmaceuticals, construction, property, defence, technology and media.

The industries change. The problems do not. An owner who cannot see where the money is really made, cash that arrives as a surprise, and a plan nobody is holding to account.

The service you get with D2D Associates

Good financial decisions start with understanding the business behind the numbers.

We do not arrive with a template, spend an hour looking at your accounts and tell you what to do. The first step is to understand how your business really works: your customers, jobs, margins, costs, cash, team and the decisions that drive performance.

From there, we build a clear picture of where you are, what needs attention and what the numbers are telling you. Then we stay involved to help turn that insight into action.

It is a simple process: understand the business, create clarity, then deliver the changes that matter.

Where your money goes

On an £800 job, look what’s left.

Most owners price the job, not the hidden costs packed inside it. Here is a typical print job, and the thin slice you actually keep.

Materials£250
Making it£430
Waste£30
Profit£90
That thin slice on the right is all you keep. Miss one cost, and it is gone.

The problem

Three things that keep owners up at night.

Where is the money really made?

We show you where your money is made, and where it drains away. Sometimes that means analysing it by product or customer. More often the answer comes out of a commercial conversation: how you price, who you say yes to, the terms you accept. So you do more of what pays, and know which is which.

What cash will I have, and when?

Too many owners are guessing, hoping and worrying. VAT, supplier increases, a big order to fund. We put a clear view of the cash ahead in front of you. So you decide on stock, hires and growth knowing it works, not hoping.

No time to work on the business

You are doing nineteen jobs at once, and not the one you are best at. We give you an hour a week to step out of it, with someone independent who tells you straight and holds you to what you said you would do. So things actually change.

These are print, sign and ecommerce problems. They are also, simply, business problems.

What clients say

Owners who stopped guessing.

"I have worked with David over many years on different projects. He is a very experienced, friendly finance professional who quickly slots into the team, gets to grips with the key issues and supports the Board with decision making. From one off projects such as investment reviews to ongoing financial support, he provides pragmatic advice and ensures reporting is accurate, robust and tailored to each organisation's needs. David will always be my first call when looking for financial support."
